AMENDMENTS to the CONSTITUTION:

Amendments to the Constitution can only be submitted using the notice of motion form for constitutional amendments.

2022 DEADLINE FOR AMENDMENT: Friday, May 20, 2022 (12:00 PM).

IMPPORTANT NOTES:

1.While Nominees who are not SDGHA Members of the 2021/2022 season (Example, an individual who belonged to a different hockey association for the 2021/2022 season, an individual who will belong to a different hockey association in the upcoming 2022/2023 season) can currently run for SDGHA Board positions, it is the intention of the Board to have our Members consider an Amendment Motion where Nominees must meet criteria to run for elections and hold a position on the Board. Accordingly, If the motion is APPROVED by the Members at the AGM, then Nominations/Nominees who do not meet the criteria will be null and void and not be presented to the membership during elections for voting as they will not be eligible to hold a board position.

If the motion is NOT APPROVED by the Members, all Nominations/Nominees will be presented to the membership during elections for voting.

  1. While nominations are being accepted for House League Division Convenors U9, U11, U13, U15, U18, it is the intention of the Board to have our members consider a motion to merge these positions resulting in the following positions, House League Youth Convenor (U9, U11, U13) and House League Senior Convenor (U15, U18) which is in line with how other OWHA Boards operate (the Lady Wolves Program operates with 0 Division Convenors and 1 Rep Director). This would occur through a Motion to be voted on prior to the elections. Accordingly, nominations are being separately accepted for all positions above, which will be contingent on the approval of the motion by the membership.

If the motion to convert the House League Division Convenor roles (as listed above) to House League Youth Convenor and House League Senior Convenor (as listed above) is APPROVED by the Members, nominations for the House League Division Convenors will be null and void, while nominations for the House League Youth Convenor and House League Senior Convenor positions will be accepted for voting at elections.

If the motion to convert the House League Division Convenor roles (as listed above) to House League Youth Convenor and House League Senior Convenor (as listed above) is NOT APPROVED by the Members, nominations for the House League Youth Convenor and House League Senior Convenor will be null and void, while nominations for the House Leave Division Convenors will be accepted for voting at elections.
