2023 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:

Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 6:30pm

Northbury Hotel & Conference Centre (Aspen Hall), 50 Brady St., Sudbury, ON

PRE-REGISTRATION:

STEP 1: Complete the Pre-Registration Form which is a requirement to participate in the AGM.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: May 19, 2023 (12:00PM)

AGENDA:

The following agenda meets the constitution requirements in that it must include financial statements from the Treasurer and an election of new Association Executive for the coming season:

1. Call to Order
2. Approval of Minutes from 2022 AGM
3. President’s Report
4. Board of Directors Reports
5. Financial Statements
6. Consideration of Constitution Amendment Motions
7. Election of Association Executives
8. Motion to Adjourn

ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS

As per the Constitution, the following six positions within the Association Executive are alternating terms: President, Registrar, Treasurer, Vice President, Secretary, Ice Convenor.

The following two positions are elected to two-year terms, during the Annual General Meeting held in 2023 to fulfill the constitutions alternating term requirement:

• President
• Registrar

Note: The Vice President, Secretary and Ice Convenor are in a 2 year term position and not up for voting until AGM 2024.

The following positions are elected to a one-year term, during the Annual General Meeting held in 2023 to fulfill the constitutions term requirement:

• Lady Wolves Program Director
• Director of Coach/Player Development
• Equipment Manager
• Public Relations Coordinator
• Director at Large (2 positions)
• House League Director
• House League Director of Fundamentals
• House League Youth Convenor (U9, U11, U13)
• House League Senior Convenor (U15, U18, U22)

NOMINATIONS for Association Executive Positions:

All Nominations must be submitted to the SDGHA via email using the Nomination Form.  Nominations will NOT be accepted after the deadline or at the meeting.

2023 DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS: Friday, May 19, 2023 (12:00 PM)

AMENDMENTS to the CONSTITUTION:

Amendments to the Constitution can only be submitted using the Notice of Motion to Constitution Amendments Form. The deadline is based upon constitutional requirements.

2023 DEADLINE FOR AMENDMENT: May 10th, 2023 (12:00 PM).

*IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. While nominations are being accepted for a one year term, it is the intention of the Board to have our members consider a motion to rotate these positions on a two year term.
