Melisa Kingsley-2023 Esso Cup Legacy Fund Community Involvement Award

The Melisa Kingsley-2023 Esso Cup Legacy Fund Community Involvement Award aims to help promote community involvement across the Sudbury & District Girls Hockey Association. This award is in memory of Melisa Kingsley, a former player with the SDGHA who was heavily involved in volunteerism within our community. Melisa was the recipient of the City of Greater Sudbury Award for Volunteerism as well as the Our Children, Our Future Volunteerism Award.

The Melisa Kingsley Esso Cup Legacy Fund Community Involvement Award has been established in Melisa’s memory. The Esso Cup Legacy Fund will provide funding to support this award. A $250 award will be provided to one individual within the SDGHA that sets an example of exemplary service to her community throughout the 2022/2023 season. A second $250 award will be provided to a team within the SDGHA that set an example of exemplary service to their community throughout the 2022/2023 season. In addition to this, the Esso Cup Legacy Fund will provide a $500 donation to the Melisa Kingsley Scholarship in the name of the successful individual and team. Applications will be available in early 2023 for individuals and teams but your community involvement can start as soon as possible. Remember to take photos and videos of your great deeds to help support your application.
